IT HAS HAPPENED. I finally had a 5-0 week for what may be the first time ever in my locks against the spread. Week 5 treated me well. Locked in the Cardinals, Redskins, Vikings, Colts, and Patriots. The only true scare was the Colts, but they prevailed by six. Through five weeks, I’m now 13-12 on the season. Let’s stay over .500 all year long baby. Here’s my five NFL Week 6 locks against the spread.
1. Denver Broncos (4-1) @ San Diego Chargers (1-4) (+3)
The Chargers have been nothing short of a disaster this season when we talk fourth quarters. Now, they are forced to take on a Broncos team not only getting Trevor Siemian back on the field, but coming off a loss. They are going to play angry, which means Philip Rivers is going to be on the ground all night long. Lock in the Broncos to win and cover.
2. Los Angeles Rams (3-2) @ Detroit Lions (2-3) (-3)
I’ve been picking against the Rams all year long, and that trend continues when they head to Detroit this week. Matthew Stafford has been playing very well and that offense could put up 30 points this week. I’m sorry but I just can’t pick Case Keenum. Lock the Lions by a TD.
3. Pittsburgh Steelers (4-1) @ Miami Dolphins (1-4) (+7.5)
The Dolphins are just god awful. Lock the dominant Steelers offense for a double digit win.
4. Atlanta Falcons (4-1) @ Seattle Seahawks (3-1) (-6.5)
This Falcons team is legit. Their defense is shaky at times, but Matt Ryan is making it look easy on the other side of the ball. Tevin Coleman has been monumental to supplement Devonta Freeman. The Seahawks are coming in fresh off a bye though and they have the 12th man. Seattle wins this game, but not by a touchdown.
5. New York Jets (1-4) @ Arizona Cardinals (2-3) (-7.5)
The Jets could not be in worse shape right now and losing Eric Decker for the season just makes matters worse. With that being said, they are fighting for their season at this point. The Cardinals haven’t been anything close to what we thought they would be. That extra half point makes me lock the Jets in this week in a game where they will fight until the finish. Cardinals win this one, but it will be tight.
