Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy has been enjoying a resurgence in production over the past couple of weeks. Since offensive coordinator Greg Roman was fired following the team’s Week 2 loss to the Jets, the man they call Shady has put up 330 yards on just 54 carries, which is good for a 6.1 yards per carry average.
However, in the team’s last two games, McCoy had failed to find the end zone on the ground. That wasn’t the case today as Shady ran roughshod over the 49ers defense to the tune of 140 yards and three touchdowns.
After scoring on the Bills second possession of the game from four yards out, McCoy lined up in the Wildcat on the team’s next red zone opportunity and bulled his way into the end zone.
He wasn’t done finding pay dirt. In the fourth quarter, with the Bills up by just one score, McCoy gave the team a bit more breathing room.
McCoy fantasy owners are quite happy after a day like today as he contributed 32 fantasy points in CBSSports.com standard leagues.
