The most memorable highlights of championship boxing matches are often the knockouts. Not every fight has them, but the ones that do tend to stick out a bit more in our mind’s eye. Part of the fun in the wake of these highlight reel moments is debating which one is the best ever. Well, now boxing fans will have that chance.
The good folks at Showtime Boxing have put together a website, www.showtimeknockouts.com, where fans can go and vote on which knockout is the best in a bracket-style format.
The site includes 32 of the best finishes in Showtime Championship Boxing’s 30-year history broken down into four separate regions: Heavyweights, Middleweights, Welterweights and Light-Feather-Flyweights.
Fans can go to the site and view videos of each of the knockouts in the four regions and then vote on which one they think should advance to the next round. The first round of voting begins today and ends next Friday, November 11th. Each week there will be a new round of matchups leading up to December 10th, when the winner of the bracket will be announced on Showtime. Fans can also get in on the conversation by using the hashtag #SHObestKO.
